1. Scope

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "Policy") defines the handling of personal information in the KaruteCo app (hereinafter referred to as "the Application").

2. Types of Information Collected and Purpose of Use

The Application collects and uses the following information.

2-1. Information Required for App Operation (Implemented)

To provide the questionnaire and consent management features for salons and clinics, the following information is stored in a local database on the device.

• Patient Information: Name, Kana (Japanese phonetic reading), date of birth, gender, phone number, address, questionnaire responses
• Consent Information: Consent text content, version, signature image, consent date and time
• App Settings: Clinic name, form definitions for questionnaires and consent forms
• Device Identifier: Unique identifier (UUID) used for data management within the app

2-2. Information for Usage Analytics and Ad Delivery (Planned)

The Application uses Google Analytics 4 and AdMob for ad delivery and usage analytics, and may automatically collect user information.

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): Collects app usage data (page views, usage time, error information, etc.) and uses it for service improvement
• AdMob: Uses cookies and ad identifiers for ad delivery, and may display ads tailored to user interests

3. Data Storage Location

Important Notice: Patient information, consent data, and app settings are stored only in the local database on the user's device. This data is not stored in the cloud or on external servers.

• Data is stored encrypted in the Realm database on the device
• If the device is replaced or reset, data cannot be restored
• By using the data backup feature in the admin function, you can save data to another location

4. Provision to Third Parties

The Application uses the following third-party services, and data may be provided to each service in accordance with their terms.

4-1. Google Services (Planned)

• Google Analytics 4: Sends app usage data to Google for service improvement. For details, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
• AdMob: May share data with Google for ad delivery. For details, please refer to AdMob's Privacy Policy.

4-2. Provision to Other Third Parties

Except for the Google services mentioned above, user personal data will not be provided to third parties. However, this does not apply to disclosure requests based on law, court orders, or when consent from the user themselves is obtained.

5. Data Retention Period

• Local Data: Retained while using the Application. If the Application is deleted, data within the device will be erased.
• Analytics and Ad Data: Data collected by Google Analytics 4 and AdMob is retained and deleted in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

6. User Rights

Users have the following rights.

• Request for Disclosure: You can check your own data stored in the Application
• Request for Deletion: You can erase stored information by deleting the Application or deleting data from the admin screen
• Opt-out of Ads: By changing Google's ad settings, you can disable personalized ads (planned feature)

7. Child Protection

The Application does not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If it is discovered that a child under the age of 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete such data. 8. Security

The Application prioritizes protecting the confidentiality of user personal information. We implement physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect data.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

The Application may update this Policy as necessary. We will notify you of changes by updating this page. Continued use is deemed as consent to changes. Please check this Policy regularly.
